Moore Insurance, a Texas-based firm that provides insurance and financial planning services to residential and commercial clients throughout the greater Houston region, is embarking on a joint charity effort in cooperation with the Special Angels of the Woodlands to support local adults with intellectual challenges.
Special Angels of the Woodlands is a nonprofit group dedicated to providing assistance and education to adults overcoming intellectual disabilities. Programs provided by SAW are intended to help participants establish an Adult Basic Education, and emphasize duty, purpose, enjoyment, and appreciation of the local community. SAW Programs cover a broad range of subjects, including music, language skills, arts and crafts, mathematics.
“The Special Angels have helped a large number of families in our region, and we are on a mission to make sure they have the resources they need to continue these important programs,” says Jared Moore, the acting director of Moore Insurance.
To help gather support for the charity event benefitting SAW, Moore and his team have made connections over social media and email broadcasts with local community leaders and families. The team also plans to produce a full length article featuring the SAW charity drive which will be published in a new issue of the Moore Insurance online magazine “Our Hometown”: http://mooreinsuranceteam.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.
The Moore Insurance team has made a habit of assisting local nonprofit organizations; this event marks the 15th Houston area charity drive undertaken by the Moore team. As continuing affiliates of the “Agents of Change” national charity support program, Moore Insurance plans to continue supporting new local charities on a regular basis.
